Explained was the updating of the entry procedures for foreign nationals into Brunei Darussalam using visas and immigration passes as well as other implementation procedures. According to the Minister Of Home Affairs, visitors, social visit pass holders or those granted permanent resident status are encouraged to obtain medical insurance coverage. For foreign citizens who were given a visit pass before 1st July 2025 and do not have medical insurance coverage, they are required to obtain insurance coverage according to the remaining period of the visit pass and the new coverage rate. Foreign nationals who serve or have an agreement with the government or Statutory Bodies are exempt from the Medical Insurance Coverage Policy.
